I don't have anything against consultants, I really don't.
To prove as much, I will point out that my husband is one. But these two lists of "consultant humor" tickled my fancy. If they were about French consultants, I would add the habit of using English words where perfectly good French ones would do the trick...

So, so, so, so, so, so, true!
Unlike you I'm not married to your husband so I'll say with no hesitation that I have everything against consultants. All they do is vampirise the companies's money. There is one thing I have to admit though: they are very clever people because the companies who hire them, know as much as we do what kind of people those are and they still keep hiring the worst species.
Heh. You might also enjoy the Demotivators poster for consultants, which has this caption: "If you're not a part of the solution, there's good money to be made in prolonging the problem."
Got that one as a Christmas present for my dad when he was doing consulting work.

Without going into details, my husband does very useful consulting work for French farmers!
But I do like the "consultant-speak" references...
Farmers have both their feet on the soil, litterally and figuratively, so they won't let anyone trick them. I believe your husband does a good job then. :)

Who was it who said that a consultant is someone who borrows your watch to tell you what time it is ?
I was a consultant for a short time. Consultants are hired to do the dirty work that no one is willing to do, or specialized work that no one else knows how to do, or work for which there needs to be a scapegoat when the wrong (but totally predicted) result is produced.
Oh, and they give good parties, too. ;-)
