Shall we dance, or keep on moping?
Shall we dance and walk on air?
Shall we give in to despair? Or shall we dance with never a care?
Life is short. We're growing older.
Don't you be an also ran.
You've got to dance, little lady. Dance, little man.
Dance whenever you can.

I just discovered the link to the Playa Cofi Jukebox on your sidebar. Now I'm dancing and typing to Otis Redding. I'm a skilled multi-tasker, if you want to call this dancing.
Nice post. We should always make the time to dance.
Yes, life is short. Good advice. Susiej
Dance with never a care is a perfect way to enjoy life! Thank you!
oh how i would have lost my dancing inhibitions at a younger age... now that i am not afraid,, i never have a chance to do it!!!!!
Oh, yes, those are wise words! Keep on dancin'.
I do love Gershwin! Definitely made me smile this morning.
I want to know where you found all the shoes!?!?
Katie, these were character shoes from the musical my daughters were in this summer, How to Succeed in Business...you can see photos of the colorful production here:

although the shoes don't come out that well under the lights. And there's a nice series of my daughter, who had the female lead, from 0832 to 0836, and in other places.
The post is special to me because the song lyrics were from my girls' very first musical, Crazy for You, which they were in in 2001. Now you see why we go to the USA every summer.
Brilliant words to accompany that photo.
What a lovely image and excerpt! Such a great reminder. Are we moping and dragging our feet or are we dancing and living fully? Thanks for the inspiration!
LOVE the image! Well done.
extraordinary collaboration of image and words....well done. Jodi Barone

Wise words - and beautiful shoes!

Thanks,
Karen
