I think we can safely say that we have seen way too many photos of Alaskan wildlife in the presidential campaign.
I'm not a vivid dreamer, but last night I had a nightmare that really shook me up.
A bunch of raccoons were trying to break into my living room through our sliding glass door, except my house was somehow in the USA -- get it?
Suddenly, one mangy raccoon was actually running around inside and I decided it had to go.
Oh, damn, I don't own a gun! So I took a deep breath, grabbed it, and it bit my hand real hard. Even in my sleep I could feel the palin.
Then the scenario morphed into a TV debate: Sarah Palin against Barack Obama.
(I know, Republicans, I know, Palin is not running against Obama! Except if your candidate croaks, which I guess we can all start praying won't happen, or goes totally senile, which I honestly think is taking place before our eyes, we are stuck with Ms. Moose...so stop pretending you just can't understand why people would ever make such a comparison!)
And Sarah slammed Barack with some real tough-chick crack that had the whole country buzzing about something other than the economy, health care, the war, the lies, the lies, the lies....

Palin may not be running against Obama, but Obama is running against Palin. Her narrative must be destroyed, she must be shown to be as authoritarian as Cheney - which she appears to be - and as much a liar as BushCo and McCain.
I'd vote for the fish before its catcher!
Oh, believe me -- this is all about Palin versus Obama. Palin is the one who excites the GOP rank and file. They see her, not McCain, as "the new Reagan." They figure that it is just a matter of time before she will become President, and then glory days will be here again.
It must be stopped.
Oh woe is me, I feel like Chicken Little. I do think the sky is falling. At least unlike Mr/Ms Little, I'm not alone.
I doubt I would ever go back anyway, but if THE WORST should come to pass...
What terrifies me is - I'm not certain Obama can win...
It is inconceivable, in my mind, to think that McCain has half a chance to win in November. Yet, the numbers are showing otherwise. What an amazingly negative commentary on the voters in our country.
Arnie, cheer up! Go to www.fivethirtyeight.com and you'll see that as of today, highly reliable polls show Obama winning the electoral vote 309 to 229. (After the Palin bounce, the count was the opposite...)
